Morgan appeared in a film about AIDS recognition and treatment, Safe Sex for Men and Women. Part of the proceeds was donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a Member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising projects and also gave testimony to a special Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. Morgan is a member of the Board of Governors of APLA. She was asked to replace former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop at AIDS-related events. Steve Bell, a news anchor, has also presented an AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS on Nightline. Morgan is nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially for Morgan. The spring season saw Morgan co-starring with Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC TV. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The show, Von Zerneck/Sertner also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. Her next project sent Morgan to Luxembourg to be a part of Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady which also starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also the lead in a psychological thriller which was exclusively produced for the USA Network. It received the top rating recorded in network history.
